BESSBOROUGH GARDENS PIMLICO
A re-imagining of Bessborough Gardens in Pimlico London.
A central feature of this garden is the existing commemorative fountain for the Queen Mothers 80th birthday. With this in mind the concept for this design has been based on the number eight. A strong figure of eight forms the primary paths within the space creating easy routes through the gardens. This is cris-crossed with a secondary path which takes a circular route around the garden. A smaller eight sided octagonal fountain has been placed at the opposite end of the garden to mirror the larger one and create a more intimate shady place for people to sit to contrast with the grandeur of the larger fountain.
