For the past 12 years my work has been in graphic design and illustration having graduated from Brighton university with a degree in illustration in 2004, but for the last year I have been studying garden design at the Inchbald School of Design in London and found that my graphic design skills translate perfectly into designing gardens!
Although I have been a graphic designer for most of my working life I come from a horticultural background. I grew up on an organic small holding in Kent run by my parents. They were some of the first registered organic growers in the UK. I spent summer holidays working in the poly tunnels picking tomatoes and watering the crops. It was during these years that my love of wildlife, plants and landscapes began, encouraged by my parents who are both keen gardeners.
I now live in Brighton close to the South Downs which are a constant source of inspiration for me.
I want to create gardens which will not only look beautiful but will bring happiness, peacefulness and a sence of connection with nature to people.
“The garden is the only part of our living space that is without a practical purpose, it is purely for pleasure and the enrichment of our daily lives. It is our space to breathe and to just be.”
